Lijun Yang

Lijun Yang graduated as a Master in Organic Chemistry at Nankai University in 2022, following her Bachelor's degree obtained at Shandong University of Science and Technology in 2019. She focused on the design, synthesis and high-throughput screening of Phytoene Desaturase inhibitors under the guidance of Prof. Zhen Xi.

In her PhD project, Lijun interrogates DEL libraries to identify new hits for a bacterial drug target involved in the fatty acid biosynthesis. Hits are then further developed to find new antibiotics.
