Jesper Allaer
Jesper Allaer obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at KU Leuven in 2022. He is currently continuing his studies towards a Master’s degree in Chemistry at KU Leuven. In the first year of his Master's course he completed an internship with QMineral, regarding analyses involving powder X-ray diffraction and optimizing cation exchange capacity by UV/VIS spectroscopy. Currently Jesper is working towards his master thesis at the Rega Institute for Medical Research.
His master thesis project details developing and optimizing analogues of non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. His interest lie in optimizing the strategies and synthetic approaches for drug development and learning more concepts surrounding medicinal chemistry.
